Answers:

1. I’m not too positive about presenting things, I feel awkward in front of the entire class, even though I know every single one of them. Like right now for example, as I read this , I’m probably very nervous.

2. Key elements in a good speech is always speech loud and make eye contact with the audience.

3. When you give a speech about something you enjoy, you put more effort into it. When you speak, everything you say, you say it with emphasis because you enjoy the topic, as apposed to a topic that you don’t enjoy. You would probably make the speech as short as possible to get it over with.

4. Power point is a usually program because it helps you break down your speech into sections, therefore you wouldn’t skip anything important and also you woudn’t forget anything.

5. You will use power point out of school maybe after the teacher assigns a homework.

Answers:

1. Trying to buy items for you while having a budget is more difficult than I expected. You can easily choose things to get and forget that if you get to much, you will have to put back.

2. It teaches you how to save money, and be more conscience of how you spend your money.

3.  Yes, it can get real difficult especially with a low budget.

4. Yes, it taught me how to spend my money efficiently.

Black History Month: Lebron James

“Basketball player. Born December 30th, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. LeBron James has emerged as one of the leading players in the National Basketball Association (NBA). At an early age, he showed a natural talent for basketball. James was recruited by St. Vincent-St. Mary High School to join their basketball team in 1999.

As a freshman, James averaged 18 points per game. He helped the team to a Division III state title by scoring 25 points in the championship game. Word of his advanced basketball skills spread, and James received several honors for his performance. As a high school sophomore, he was chosen for the USA Today All-USA First Team. James was the first sophomore ever selected for this award. His team also won the Division III state title for the second year in a row.

With his impressive record, it was no surprise that James was the first player picked in the 2003 NBA draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers signed the powerful young forward, and he proved to be a valuable addition to the then-struggling franchise. The team had ended the previous season in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Around this time, James also signed several endorsement deals, including one with Nike for $90 million.

During the 2003-2004 season, James made history, becoming the first member of the Cavalier franchise to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award. He was also the youngest player ever at only 20 years oldto receive this honor. Averaging 20 points per game, James was one of three rookies to accomplish this feat, putting him in the same company as Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson.

Outside of basketball, James has worked to help others. He established the LeBron James Family Foundation in 2004 with his mother Gloria to help out children and single-parent families in need. Among its many programs, the organization builds playgrounds in economically disadvantaged areas and hosts an annual bikeathon.”-Bio.com

Lebron is a great player, who at age 25, still has a long future ahead of him. There is still games to play and records to break. With his excellent ability to handle the basketball,  Lebron James has already impacted this world for the next generations to come.

The reasons why I chose these Colleges are the following:

1. I searched them up on college board and they matched my major and minor .

2. They are good Engineering schools.

3. My parents can afford it.

4.The schools have a comfortable environment.

5. The grade standards are enough for me.

Top 3 , starting with Fairleigh Di. Metro. This school has a good representation. I’ve been inspired by my aunt to apply to this school because she’s researched the school for herself and she explained the school to me, and I think I would love it there.

Florida Institute of Technology: I don’t know much about the school , but it has my major and minor. If I decide to go here it’ll be easy to commute because I’ll move in with my aunt and uncle which live in about 1 hour away which isn’t too bad.

CUNY: Also close to an aunt which I could go live with if anything. Very good school which I could most likely get into.

Crops Freezer Burn in the South

“Frigid temperatures threatened Florida citrus crops as much of the Southeast into plunged into the teens Monday morning.State capital Tallahassee had plunged to 16 degrees by 5:25 a.m. ET, while temperatures in the 30s or below could be found well south of Orlando.” -CNN.

In Florida, the national weather service issued a warning on all crops for freezing. Miami, one place that would normally be warm, plunged to the low 40′s. Normally it would be around 70′s. The north part of Florida is worse. Meteorologists are saying that all citrus trees are in danger because of this cold temperature. 8,000 citrus growers are in danger of losing oranges that’ll take up to 5 weeks to regrow.

Answers:

1.  The ribbon is located on the top of the page. It cross from left to right beginning with the word home and ending with view.

2. Tab , Group , and Command.

3. Home, Insert, Page Layout, References, Mailings, Review

4. They are located under each command section going across at the bottom.

5. Commands are in between the tabs and groups.They are all the things you can do with the program.

6. A template is a page you open for a certain document.

7. It is helpful , so you don’t have to go back up on the page every single time.

8. It saves up time. You can get to keys quicker. More efficient.

9.  Tables are good for comparing facts.

10. Graphics are small clip arts you can add to your work.

11. A mail merge can be used to send your work to someone else and print it over to them.

12. It is a security on your document so that no one can see it but you.

13. It  wants everything to be quicker to view and apply in our work, giving us aid on finishing everything faster.

Brain Teaser

As you are walking down Limit Road, you see a mysterious smiling old man with a Boston Red Sox hat on.  You continue to walk on your path and you trip on the pavement because there was a small snail on the floor. You turn around and  happen to glance in his direction again because you wanted to see if he noticed when you fell, for you feel that maybe you know him. Seeing that he did not, you continue walking. In the matter of a second, he is across the street walking behind you.  Bewildered by this, you refocus on the path in front of you and start walking faster because you think he is following you.  As your eyes meet the end of the street, you notice a car crash on the corner, so you began to run to see.  The man begins to run too so now you know there is something wierd about this man.  When you reached the corner to see the accident, you began to think to yourself, “How could he ever move that fast, and now he is standing in right behind me!?”  Without him saying a word, he taps you on your shoulder and takes off his hat and says ” I noticed you was looking towards me , so I crossed the street to tell you that your shoes were untied.”

College Outlook ; Industrial & Vocational Arts

In the past years, jobs all around the United States have become scarse . Many people are un-employed and seeking for jobs daily. With a college level education, it is easier to locate jobs because less people can work in jobs with higher requirements (ex: doctors, lawyers, and policemen).

Some jobs become easier to start on then others. For example, anything under the Industrial & Vocational arts is a better and easier job to find. These are types of jobs that will never run out of things to do. These jobs are carried out on a daily bases, meaning people practice them and need them everyday.

 

 

10 Things That Make Me Laugh

1. AMFV’s

• Every time I see Someone trip or fall on those videos it is just so hilarious. All you here is the person in the background,recording it , laughing hysterically.

2.The Cleveland Show

•Rilo is like the funniest character on the show. I love the way they make him seem like an adult when he’s only like 1 year old.

3.Spongebob

• The reason I find this show funny because the things they do are so dumb. They are suppose to be adults in a way, and at the same time they are little kids.

4. Michael Ward

• He has an nag for memorizing jokes he sees on t.v. It is like a natural thing he has that he just remembers all the jokes he sees on t.v. He says them exactly as they are said on t.v , its just so funny to watch and listen.

5. Friend Kenny M.

• He’s just naturally funny. He actually comes up with his jokes. He does not get them off anywhere. I could try saying his jokes but it would not be the same, everyone just stays quiet and all you here is crickets in the background.

6.  Baby’s Laugh

• This has to be one of the most funniest things ever. A Baby can never laugh correctly,  it stops to breath like every split second it laughs its just so funny !

7. Natasha Saldarriaga

• She always says she makes me blush because she compliments me, but that is  not true. She is the one who gets serious every time I say something to her, so that makes me laugh. She puts the most lost face ever, like if she just saw a ghost or something.

8. My father’s angry face

• My father can never be serious about anything. He can try to put a serious face but just seeing him try makes me laugh and that really gets him mad. Then after that I should stop smiling and be the serious one. That is if I want to stay neutral with him.

9.  Online Playstation 3

• The best thing to do while your playing online is to  listen to what all the other players say inside the chat rooms during a game. They come up with the craziest things that are just hysterical. When someone might say something stupid, the other person just comes in,makes fun at what they said, and starts a jokes out of it, making the whole chat room go crazy in laughs.

10.Full House

• Even after many years, I still love watching this how. Everyone on it is just so funny. I have the best time on saturday mornings watching this show and all its wonderful jokes. By the time the clockstrikes 12 my stomach hurts from so much laughing. It is just such a great way to start your saturday morning.
